Under 12 Blue Match Report
Saturday, July 26, 2008 v Woodbridge @ Woodbridge
Match report :
Saturday's 26th July game against Woodbridge saw Kingborough at its attacking best. The team put Woodbridge under constant pressure and because of this we totally dominated the game. From the very start of the game we were pushing forward and distributing the ball well. We were able to string a series of flowing attacking movements together and were able to put in a number of great crosses. The first half saw us score four goals to nil and we had a number of other good chances. The second half was very similar and we were using the total width and depth of the field to bring the ball forward. The pressure started to tell and we add another seven goal to make the final score 11 nil. It was a fantastic team effort where every player contributed to the overall result.
Tim was a constant threat to their defence and he was able to slot three well thought out goals. Alex use his great pace and ball skills to keep a constant supply of balls to our strikers. Simon was another one who added his name to the score sheet. Dropped back into defence in the second half he was able to use his cool head to stop any attacking movements. James G and Adam both played time in defence and they help ensure that our goalkeepers had a very quiet time. Jeremy had a quiet time in goals in the first half. When thrown into attack he was another who was willing to take on defenders. Haydn is our steady head in defence and he enjoy when he was given more freedom to venture forward in the second. Dylan played on the wing in the first half on the wing and he was another who help supply our attacks with a lot of good balls. It was great to see Josef add his name to the score sheet with a well-taken goal. Patrick really enjoyed his freedom he had in attack and he was able to get into good goal scoring positions. It was great to see as a coach and father that he scored four well-poached goals. Simeon was another one who started a number of attacks but at the same time he was willing to drop back and help the defence. He was also able to score two well-crafted goals. Sam played as our engine room and started or helped develop a number of our attacking movements. Tom was another who help out when need in both attack and defence.
