Under 8 White Match Report
Saturday, May 10, 2008 v Hutchins Lions @ Lightwood Park

Match report :

Kingborough White took on Hutchins Lions at Lightwood Park and what a great game it was.

Will played Goalie in the first half and he did a fantastic job covering his goals, he kicked some long balls back into the game. Ethan showed some fancy footwork with his interceptions of the ball on many occasions. Hunter played a great attacking game following direction and sticking to the other team. Lemuel had a freddo frog on the line this week and he certainly had a good follow on the ball. At the end of the first half seen the Kingborough Lions go into the second half with a 2 goal lead.
The second half was a whole different ball game to the first. Hutchins came out firing on all cylinders and what a spectacular performance to bring the game to a 3 all draw mid way through the second half.

Hutchins scored another goal to put them 1 goal up. Daniel played goalie in the second half and he was certainly kept busy with not much getting past him. Maksim showed great agility swapping between attack and defense, great job! Luca played great in attack and he used the whole field making some great passes. A goal made by our team in the last dying minutes saw the game finish on a 4 all Draw.

The game certainly seemed to get a little rough and tumble at times but it was certainly a well matched game for both teams. The team have certainly come together over the past few weeks and have gained a lot more confidence not only in themselves but in their fellow team mates.
