Saturday, June 21, 2008 v Margate @ Lightwood Park

Match report :

Kingborough White took on Margate in the first game back for Term 2.

We welcomed a new member of the team "Keeley" and at the same time said goodbye to "Finn", good luck Finn in your ventures.

Well it was a cold one up at Lightwood Park surely a sign of things to come. The boys took a little while to get back into the game after the school holiday break but they soon found their footing. The end of the first half was nil all.

The last half seen the Kingborough Lions take off and use the ground to their advantage as well as keep warm. The first score was made by the Lions and that helped them regain their confidence, shortly after seen another 2 quick goals to the Lions to take it to a 3 nil victory.

Margate were great competitors and had some quick boys and girls covering the field. We look forward to getting back into Soccer this term.
