Match report :

Well done to the team for their efforts in the opening game of the season and a special welcome to the new members to the team Kaitlin, Cormac, Elliot and Grace. Rather than singling out the goal scorers, I prefer the success of scoring goals to be shared by the whole team. Goals are always scored after a build up of play involving many players in the team; obviously the last person to touch the ball gets the spotlight and often the credit as seen in all codes on television. The win on Saturday came from some very good goal keeping, diligent defence, and strong midfield play to win the ball and good positioning and awareness to finish off in the front line. During the season we will be drawing inspiration and ideas from the exceptional talent of the World U20 Champions Argentina after a very interesting coaches training workshop presented by Football Federation Tasmania that I attended last week.

I am looking forward to fun and excitement of the season ahead!
