Match report :
A home game for the first match of the season saw the team itching to take to the park but also a little aprehensive about playing in the youth roster with points up for grabs, the starting eleven settled in quickly and had one on the board after about ten minutes this allowed them to settle in to a fairly composed style of football with the back four looking very solid and with some fresh legs on the feild just before half time they headed for the sheds at the break up 3-0.
Metro came out more determined in the second half and with the young lions starting to tire and being 4-0 ahead a loss of concentration at the back allowed metro to grab a late goal, so 4-1 the final result was a good first up run, it will be a different story next week as they have South Hobart away who are considered one of the title favourites.
Everyone performed very well, but a special mention to Ryan Brodie Jerome Rocco Charlie and Josh N who were great at the back when asked to play there, and Jack for two great goals from the left.
