Under 10 Blue

Back (L to R): Front (L to R): Season's report A determined on ball approach this year saw the under 10 Blues continue as a very competitive and enthusiastic side in their competition. Despite a break in the number of games played in the latter part of the season the team finished very strongly. Our players showed continued growth and improvement in the midfield, forward and defensive play worked on in the previous season. Training sessions were well supported and the excellent turnout by the team and the enduring support from parents on match Saturdays has galvanised what has become a solid team spirit over a number of years. Thanks to the guidance and coaching by Paul Burch each player made made a well earned contribution this year. There was a great improvement in individuals skills. Who could forget some of those great goals at the crucial moments and the great running plays along the wing. It was gratifying to see young players working as a single unit, particularly better passing kicks in front of goal. Paul's system of rotating players in various positions on the field and added encouragement during play worked well throughout the competition. The team celebrated its end of season with a barbecue at Dru Point, where medallions were presented to all players. Sadly Paul Burch has indicated he will not be available to coach the team next year. The parents and players of the side again thank Paul for a memorable effort and contribution to this team.
