Season's report
The under thirteen golds played the season with a core team of only nine players. This meant that players from the other three under thirteen teams were called upon to fill the numbers each week. As the feeder team for the div one team it also resulted in an ever changing line up. This made team
work an ongoing problem for the side and did influence the teams success throughout the season.
Despite this problem it gave many players the challenge to adapt to regular position changes and the obvious need to work with new faces each week. In deciding to run four under thirteen teams rather
than three, players were also able to spend a great deal more time on the field and many were able to play more than one game on the same weekend.
In the last few games of the season the players became more confident as a group and were able to pressure their opposition regularly throughout games. All the gold players had games where they stood out with the most consistent pair being Ryan Jones (the teams best and fairest) and Robert Jenkyns winner of the coaches award.
Many thanks to all the Blue, Black and White players who filled in for us over the season.
