Under 9 Blue

Back (L to R): Front (L to R): Season's report Well what can I say about U9 Blue, "what a season, what a team!" When I was asked to take over as coach from Kevin Wilson I certainly wasn't aware of just how good a team I had inherited. It was clear from the outset that there were some great individuals to work with and 3/4 of the side had played together for some time which showed. As the season went on and we got to know each other, all the players began to shine and their enthusiasm and hard work were an asset to them. Training was most enjoyable and fun with most of the guys able to show up and work hard. With Glen's consistent help we all had a good time and the side soon transformed from outstanding individuals to a very good team who worked hard for each other. U9 Blue managed to score 88 goals only conceding 6 with one draw and no losses. This speaks volumes for the boys and as everyone developed the opposition found it increasingly difficult to mark players, as goalscorers were coming from all areas of the field. I can honestly say the boys were a delight to coach and a joy to watch. Added to this 3 boys tried out for Central Region and all got in. Tim Fry
